With Netspark´s Dynamic Internet Guard users are able to customize their internet experience, giving them the freedom to make use of the many resources available on the web, while maintaining a user experience that is secure and free of harmful content.
Multiple configuration levels mean users can customize their settings to provide a degree of filtering that will meet their needs without impeding their regular internet activity. Users can set their Active Profile from one of our pre-defined configuration settings - Light, Moderate, or Rigorous, depending on the level of filtering they feel necessary. If none of these fit their needs, users also have the option of defining a Custom profile in which it is possible to specify access levels for not only web text and graphical content, but also Peer-to-Peer Networks, Chat and Instant Messaging, and Email.
For a more tailored experience, users have the option to build a URL White list and Black list, in which they specify sites to always allow or block, regardless of their Active Profile settings1. Other Advanced Features include Time-of-Day usage restrictions and a Temporary Configuration Override, which allows users to temporarily override their Active Profile settings with a scheduled timeline to automatically restore the configurations to the user´s saved profile settings.
There are no files to download or applications to install. From the time the user´s profile is created, Netspark´s Dynamic Internet Guard is activated and in place. Navigating to a site that conflicts with the active settings, users are presented with the Netspark block page which provides the user with three options—Continuing to another web page of their choice, Accessing their Active Profile to make changes, or Reporting the URL as inappropriately blocked. Reported URLs are reviewed in real-time and, when necessary, fed back to our review agents for updating our filtering dictionaries. In this way we ensure that our filtering procedures remain as dynamic and responsive as the pages we are trying to filter.
Netspark´s patented Quilting technology means that users will have access to more of the information they are looking for. Rather than blocking dynamic sites such as Search Engine results, Quilting is used to restructure the content so that any harmful text or images are removed. The result maintains access to desired information and also the look and feel of the page, without compromising standards of security and decency.
1White-Listed URLs that are categorized as pornography will continue to be blocked.
